Angela Christiana Director of Operations
Angela loves the challenge of finding efficient and holistic approaches to complex problems, and dreaming up strategies to make life more rewarding for others. That’s why leading the day-to-day operations of a fast paced international development foundation is right up her alley. She takes equal enjoyment from being the right hand and sounding board for AFPF’s Executive Director as she does from managing and mentoring the staff and interns. When she’s not standing at her desk, you might find her at the state house lobbying for common sense gun control laws or at home teaching her kids how to grow tomatoes. She hopes to one day turn her front lawn into a model urban farm.
Angela’s career in social change began in 2009, after joining the Board of Coro Allegro in Boston, first as Annual Fund Chair then as Director of Development. She joined African Food and Peace Foundation near the end of 2011. Angela earned a Masters Degree in Opera Performance from Florida State University, and two Bachelor's Degrees from Northwestern University, in Vocal Music and Cognitive Science. She has performed internationally as well as with professional opera companies in the U.S. After having children, Angela was driven passionately to use her life to serve the world in a very direct way. She is dedicated to making a better future world for her own children, and for ALL children.
