Why Donate to the African
Food and Peace Foundation?

AFPF supports Innovative Grass Roots Development and Rural Transformation in Uganda.

Since 1981, we have partnered with an indigenous, non-sectarian, Ugandan non-profit to educate and empower girls, women and unemployed youth. In a world where every small action can lead to significant change, the power of donating and volunteering can make a substantial impact.

"It is the most exciting thing to be allowed to go to school finally."

-URDT Girls School Student.

Testimonials

"Although Uganda is far from the U.S., the impact of AFPF is significant. It is one of my largest charitable contributions, effectively enhancing human welfare. Any donation I make to AFPF changes more lives than any domestic charity could. I envision a future with a network of rural universities inspired by URDT's model throughout the developing world."

I am so pleased to be a part of this organization. It is an honor!

Doug Lockwood, New Donor.

URDT schools place more value on critical independent thinking than most schools in Uganda. I value this more than top exam results, which is mostly about rote memory. David G, Long-time Donor and Friend
