Be Part of the Change!

Since 1981, the African Food and Peace Foundation (AFPF), a US 501(c)3), has promoted community-initiated rural development projects with established partner organizations in Uganda. We contribute financial and strategic resources through fundraising in North America.

For over 40 years, AFPF has been based in the Greater Boston area. It has supported significant, long-term development in rural Uganda and provided North Americans with well-stewarding, quality development projects.

With our partners in Uganda, we support the following key strategies: improved equity, quality, and access to education for women and girls; food security through improved agricultural practices; entrepreneurship through technical and vocational skills; peace through advancements in health and social welfare; and Environmental sustainability.

We envision an African continent where rural communities are socially and economically self-sufficient and thriving.

It is gratifying to empower and impact the impoverished rural communities of Uganda. Together we can do more. Join Us!
